Whole length, full front, head to right, in uniform, standing upon a pedistal with scroll in extended right hand, and left hand resting at side, on sword hilt. The coat buttoned and the eagle of the Cincinnati on left breast. On the left, a bundle of fasces against the trunk of a tree, upon a branch of which hands a cocked hat. In the background are representations of battles. A tablet on the pedistal is inscribed: "First in War First in Peace and First in the Hearts of his Country" Stipple.
