George Washington, pictured as a statue, seated in a chair to the left, holding his hat in his lap with his left hand and holding a scroll in his outstretched right hand. To left in a border, ladies greet Washington on horseback, labeled "Trenton"; and on right, Washington triumphant on battlefield, labeled "Princeton". The book's title appears above Washington, and the author and publisher appear on the base of the statue, flanked by two eagles.
