Note
Apparently overseeing the demobilization effort, the Quartermaster General requests that Dayton direct the public team transporting Dayton' s baggage to transport additional baggage of new Jersey officers from Elizabethtown to Brunswick.
Pickering further advises having delivered to Lieut. Appleton a note of 30 dollars with which to pay the waggoner.
Both Pickering and Dayton were original members of the Society of the Cincinnati.
