Requesting Washington to press the Society for more funds at the general meeting to be held in May 1788 in Philadelphia. Writes that the Marquis de Lafayette mistakenly believes Pierre L'Enfant was paid by the Society and is negligent in paying his creditors, and by saying so is prejudicing the French court and ministers against Pierre L'Enfant.
