Full-figure, standing behind an embankment with a map on top of a drum, looking right, in uniform, wearing a hat. Around his neck on ribbons are the eagle of the Society of the Cincinnati and the Ordre of St. Louis. His left hand rests on his sword. Behind him is a cannon. His name in the title is a facsimilie signature and below the full title it reads: "Hope for a season bade the world farewell and freedom shrieked as Kosciuszko fell."
Thadesz Kosciuszko was an original member of the Society of the Cincinnati from France
