Yorke writes in detail on the failure of the two offensives undertaken to bring "this important contest to a speedy decision", being the attack on Quebec and Louisbourg, and the attempt to destroy the French arsenal and shipping at Rochefort.
Apparently incomplete; p. 10 refers to his proposal but does not state it.
