Half-figure, seated facing forward, holding a pipe in his right hand. A small round pin appears on his left lapel, perhaps the insignia of the New Jersey Society of the Cincinnati. The title is a signature. Rectangle.

Richard Hooker Wilmer was an hereditary member of the Society of the Cincinnati representing Richard Cox of the state of New Jersey. Mr. Wilmer served as President General of the Society from 1953-1956.
