Engraved frontispiece to v. 2 contains small oval portrait of Hoyer and an illustration of the four-pound cannon which he introduced to the Prussian army as the standard regimental field gun.
Watercolor and pen and ink drawings of cannons, mortars, caissons, munitions, wagons, trajectories, and exercises.
Plates 35 and 46 are in 2 parts each.
