Regarding 100 guineas alleged to have been sent to L’Enfant via Proctor by Thompson. Proctor denies this occurred and that Thompson is unable to pay the money because of his poor financial position and the loss of his freight vessel carrying cargo that was meant to be sold to pay the debt.
