Certificate of membership of the Providence Marine Society, with ships and Neptune driving horses over the sea on top, and at the bottom, ships in port at Providence.
French-Canadian Pierre Douville, who joined the Rhode Island Continental Navy and fought in the American Revolution under the name of Peter Douville.
Douville was an original member of the Rhode Island Society.
