Brooks was the first Secretary of the Massachusetts Society and its President 1810-1825. He also served as Vice-president General, 1811-1825.
Paterson was the Vice-president of the Massachusetts Society, 1785-1786.
Lists officers and men with "Remarks" [i.e. "deserted," "on command," "on furlough," etc.
"Commissioned April 13 1780 Capt. Rufus Lincoln on furlough since Jany. 31st; Sept. 3rd 1780, Lieut. Gamaliel Bradford at the lines on command."
Includes African American soldiers: James Rimmond, Joel Sugirming.
