A colored decorative plate depicting soldiers standing in typical uniforms. At the center is an American, appearing to be George Washington, surrounded by uniformed soldiers labeled Rifleman, next to the placard "Saratoga"; French, next to the placard "Eutaw"; British, next to the placard "Yorktown"; and Hessian, next to the placard 'Trenton". At the bottom is an Indian just above an American flag and American patriot just above a British flag. Above the American Soldier in the center are flags of England, France and the United States.
This is similar to the frontispiece in Benson J.Lossing's Pictoral Field-Book of the Revolution.
