Three-quarter length, standing, to the right, in uniform. His right hand rests on his hip and his left hand rests on the barrel of a cannon. Facsimilie signature appears below the title.

A second copy is damaged and is from the Thomas Collection.
The third copy is a copy of the Herring and Longacre engraving but a border, 1/16, has been added. The copyright reference has been removed. It is numbered P&E L2005G40.297m and is from the Joshua Danforth Bush, Jr. Collection..
The fourth copy was removed from its frame to be preserved in the P&E files in the vault. It was the gift of Mr. Lester A. Pratt in March 1961. It was accessioned as P&E L1961.858.1 from an earlier accession number: P&E L93.831.
