"The privates have allways [sic] complained that their 2/3rds rations were not sufficient....They will now see the provisions going off to the officers ... which will give them fresh cause of complaint.
Pintard also warns Boudinot, Commissary General of Prisoners, that the rivers, routes for transporting provisions, will soon be frozen.
The Commissary of Prisoners in New York requests flour, beef, and rum for soldiers, including for those "confined in the provost."
