Letters (typescript) reflect Anderson family life and the social and political life of Washington in the 1880's and '90s through 1916; Mrs. Anderson also writes of celebrated personages, the theater, the opera, and her travels in Europe.
Includes references to Maria Longworth Storer, Bellamy Storer, Alice Roosevelt, Nicholas Longworth IV, and other prominent members of family and famous news happenings of the time including the sinking of the Titanic (see letters of April 17 & 28, 1912).
Typescript dates between 1942 (see p. 1) and 1948, when Isabel Anderson died. The last date of entry is 1945 on the closing poem.
