Soldiers in a field, one at the center dismounted and walking carefully through heavy brush, a second is just behind on horseback pointing his rifle to the right, a third, at the left of the picture, is blowing a bugle and a fourth approaches from a distance.
Below the title it reads: "From the original picture by Chappel in the possession of the publishers."
