Lafayette stands on a columned porch, with the flags of the United States and France draped on the railings of the Owens Thomas House in Savannah, Georgia, outside the bedroom where he was staying, waving to a military parade passing on the street below.
This painting commerates Layfayette's speech before the citizens and the members of the South Carolina Society of the Cincinnati during his grand tour of the United States in 1825.
Each print in this limited edition was signed in pencil by the artist in 1992. These copies carry the series number #68 and #72.
