Note
Bust, shoulders to the left, head in profile to the left, in uniform, wearubg a hat. He is wearing two medals on the left lapel, one being the Ordre of Saint Louis, and the other probably the Eagle of the Society of the Cincinnati. The portrait is drawn in an oval with border, 1/16, inside a larger rectangular frame with a plate below the oval containing the title. This is a C.A. Jacobi Type portrait of Lafayette.

MC 23020 is written in the lower left corner of the sheet, along with the number 58276. It appears that the cardboard was once a part of a mat and the print may have been framed at some point in the past.
Lafayette was an original member of the Society of the Cincinnati from France.
