This prospectus promotes subscriptions for an edition of eighteen engravings representing naval engagements of the French during the American revolutionary war, to be taken after a series of paintings by Rossel de Cercy commissioned by Louis XVI. Only three of the engraving were made before the project was interrupted by the French Revolution. Ms. note at bottom of p. [1]: "Les estampes Parraissent."
