A John Cornthwait was a non-juror to the oath of allegiance in Baltimore -- see Peden, H. C. Revolutionary patriots of Baltimore Town; possibly the same individual who was a merchant and member of the Gunpowder meeting and died 8 September 1782 -- see Peden, Quaker records of northern Maryland.
