Bust, to the left, in uniform, wearing a hat. Oval surrounded by framelike border 5/16. Below are battle symbols: sword, shield, banner, laural crown, and along the oval, laural leaves and a liberty cap at the left. The full engraving is rectangular with a border 1/16.
Below the engraving it reads: "A Paris chez Esnants et Rapilly, rue St. Jacques a la Ville de Coutances. A.P.D.R."
This engraving was on display at Anderson House in a exhibition titled, Connecticut in the American Revolution from October 27, 2001-May 11, 2002.
Israel Putnam was an eligible member of the Society of the Cincinnati from the state of Connecticut.
