Information from the print seller on the back of the mat states that "This print was published for The Hibernian Magazine of June 1776, published in Dublin."
This is a ficticious portrait based on the London mezzotint published by Thomas Hart in 1776. The same body was used in many such portraits with only a different face added. However, there is no information to indicate that the even the face resembled the person depicted.
According to the reference Cresswell, this etching appears in the book, An impartial history of the war in america, published in London in 1780.
