The engraving presents an oval medalian of full figure likeness of Cincinnatus in profile to the right, in uniform. His left leg rests on a higher rock causing his knee to bend. In front of him is his spear, shield, a quiver of arrows, and a pedestal with a jug on the top. The medalian is set in a gray background rectangle with a wall at the bottom with the title. The rectangle has a single line border 1/16 and the remainder of the plate surface is shaded. In the lower right hand corner of the plate is the number "78."
This engraving is a plate from an unknown book. On the reverse can be seen the ink from the following page which has the header, "L. Quintius Cincinnatus," and the text, which ends mid page and begins with a decorated letter "N," seems to in Latin.
