Round engraved title. 60 small cut-out discs, all but 2 composed of 2 circular engraved plates glued back-to-back consisting of 1 engraved image and 1 plate of text; 2 discs are one-sided with text only. Text contains the history of the Seven Years War in Europe and North America; detailed engraved images illustrate events described; however there is no direct correlation between the exact text and the image glued to its verso. In a round silver box with embossed medallion bust portraits of George II and George III on top and bottom. Only 3 other known sets of these engravings, but none, including our copy, is thought to be complete.
