Three quarter length to right, seated with legs crossed, at a table upon which is a cocked hat, with rosette, and a plan of the city of Washington lettered "Eastern Branch", upon which rests arm, while one corner of the plan is held by right hand. The background is a figured curtain, drawn, showing a column and the sky. Mezzotint.
The original (Hart 228) was drawn and engraved by Edward Savage. However, this is a copy by an unknown engraver, with a slightly different rosette on the hat, and inferior excution.
