Note
Scene of Washington entering the city on horseback, waving his hat as many children and young women wearing and carrying flowers greet him along with young men with American flags. Over Washington's head is an arch of laural leaves with a banner attached which reads: "The defender of the mothers. The protector of the daughters. Dec. 26, 1776."
